11th PAS-X User Group Meeting in Lueneburg, Germany
Lueneburg, November 2, 2009 - On October 1 and 2 this year, Werum hosted its 11th PAS-X User Group Meeting in Lueneburg,
Germany. This annual user meeting has established itself as one of the most important
MES events for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

Hartmut Krome, Werum's Executive Board Chairman, underlined the purpose of the User Group Meeting: "This is not a marketing event, but serves instead as a forum for open exchange of experience and ideas." This aspect is highly appreciated, a fact reflected by the steadily growing number of participants each year. More than 160 representatives of 60 companies responded to the invitation - mostly from Europe, but also from China, India, Japan, Thailand, and the U.S. As in previous years, user reports from Werum customers formed the core of the lecture program. Alongside this, Werum portrayed and demonstrated the enhanced functionality of version 3 of its PAS-X MES product, and the PAS-X User Forum (PFU) described its activities in Europe and the U.S. over the past year. Many of Werum's customers are involved in this forum, which plays an important role in the continued development and advancement of PAS-X. The User Group Meeting also featured the topics "Track & Trace" and "Manufacturing Intelligence". Prof. Frank Jacob gave the participants a tour of the interface design world. His design company was instrumental in supporting Werum's graphic and ergonomic redesign of the new PAS-X product version. Between presentations, the participants once again had the chance to network and meet old and new faces. One such opportunity was the evening spent in the exotic surroundings of the tropical aquarium at Hamburg's Hagenbeck zoo.
The next PAS-X User Group Meeting will take place in the fall of 2010, and many of this year's participants have already announced their intention to attend.
